'Well Woman' Gynecology Services
Our expert staff offers a wide range of outpatient gynecology services, from annual checkups to Pap smears, contraception (birth control) and menopause counseling. And we offer this care in two convenient locations: our Bellmore Primary Care Center and our Valley Stream Professional Building.
Specialized Care for Women With Cancer
Mount Sinai South Nassau’s compassionate staff brings experience and expertise in a variety of cancers that are common to women. The Gertrude & Louis Feil Cancer Center in Valley Stream offers care for women and their loved ones, and is led by a full-time, board-certified subspecialist in gynecologic oncology, or cancer of a woman’s reproductive system. Here, we offer complete care for women with conditions related to cancer, those that can lead to cancer (precancerous conditions) and benign conditions (tissue that is not cancer).
And, as an integral part of our care, we take advantage of tools and techniques that allow us to avoid traditional surgery (“minimally invasive” procedures) whenever possible.
