Conferences & Education

The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to providing the highest caliber of clinical education to our residents and faculty. Residents have protected educational time each week with support by our Physician Assistants who provide  clinical duties during this time. Resident lectures are supervised and led by our core faculty as well as faculty from other disciplines. In addition, we use state of the art simulation equipment including an FLS trainer for our didactic sessions throughout the academic year. Our Resident Wellness Chief Resident and Faculty Wellness Champions also organize wellness activities throughout the year.
All residents are required to complete an independent research project and a Quality Improvement project. Residents present their research to the department at the end of their PGY-3 year.

Residents participate in all departmental Performance Committee Meetings.  Resident representatives also attend hospital wide committee meetings such as Wellness, Medical Staff PI, Ethics, Oversight and Safety Committees.
