Rockville Centre Resident Elected to South Nassau’s Board of Directors
Former Nassau County and New York City government executive Mr. Anthony Cancellieri has been elected to serve on South Nassau Communities Hospital’s Board of Directors.
“Mr. Cancellieri is known for his acumen in leading and assisting with the planning and implementation of targeted plans for organizational success,” said Mr. Harold Mahony, chairman of the board. “On behalf of the members of the board of directors, we look forward to working with Mr. Cancellieri and we know that he will provide skills, insight and expertise that will help South Nassau sustain its growth and remain the premier healthcare provider of southern Nassau County.”
Presently, Mr. Cancellieri is a vice president of Park Strategies LLC. Prior to joining Park Strategies in October 2006, Mr. Cancellieri served as chief deputy county executive of Nassau County, the highest ranking appointed official within the county administration. As chief deputy county executive, Mr. Cancellieri directed the day to day operations of the $2.3 billion municipal corporation with over 9,000 employees.
Mr. Cancellieri was the chief operating officer of the Village of Rockville Centre for 15 years. In addition, Mr. Cancellieri served in a variety of senior management positions within NYC government during the Mayor Edward Koch administration in the Police, Parks and Finance Departments.
Mr. Cancellieri is a resident of Rockville Centre, NY. He and his wife, Mary Lou, have three children.
