Aetna Institute of Quality®
Cardiac Care Facility
South Nassau Hospital has been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® Cardiac Care Facility for its Cardiac Medical Intervention and Cardiac Rhythm Disorder Programs. Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of health care services available to its members to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs. In line with this goal, Aetna recognizes hospitals and facilities in its network that offer specialized clinical services for certain health conditions. Facilities such as South Nassau have been selected for consistently delivering evidence-based quality care for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology services.
"This accolade for our cardiac program at South Nassau confirms that we continue to exceed benchmarks for clinical quality,” said Jason Freeman, MD, FACC, director of interventional cardiology. “We are proud of our designation as an Aetna Institute of Quality for cardiac care as it shows that clinical expertise and patient safety are our top priorities in our commitment to providing the Long Island community with world-class heart care."
